Kiota Kids is a registered Community-Based Organization in Meru County, Kenya.

We opened our doors in October 2023 with one mission: to rescue boys and girls from life on the streets. Today, more than 60 children have found safety, family, and belonging in the heart of Kaungu Village.

These children come from extreme poverty, where even basic needs—food, water, shelter, and safety—are out of reach. Many are orphans, abandoned by their parents, or survivors of severe abuse that forced them to run away.

At our centre, every child has a safe place to heal, three warm meals a day, a bed to call their own, medical care, and adequate clothing. Every child has the opportunity to go to school and is supported in their educational pursuits. Every child is empowered to believe in their full potential. Our goal is to transition every child from the centre with all the skills, confidence, and connections they need to become leaders in the community that are able to drive and inspire positive change for others.
